Sconces for houses that face the water. Each one is a single sheet of heavy-gauge steel with the design cut straight through it, so the light escapes through the silhouette and washes the wall above and below the fixture. Anchors, lighthouses, seashells and sailfish — the shapes that belong on a porch, a dock, a boathouse or a waterfront entry.

Salt air is the real test for exterior lighting, which is why these are cut from steel rather than moulded from the plastic you find in the big-box aisles, and finished in black or oil-rubbed bronze. If the fixture will sit somewhere exposed rather than under an overhang, add the sealed acrylic top at checkout.
